About Media One
Media One is a creative agency and video production company, which specialises in integrated health and medical communications, including videos, television documentaries, websites and support materials. Media One has produced TV specials on breast cancer, pregnancy, parenting and childcare, and videos and DVDs on issues such as ovarian cancer, hand hygiene Alzheimer's Disease, influenza, meningococcal disease, menopause, breast-feeding and babycare.
Spearheading each production is award-winning film-maker, writer and video producer, Kay Stammers — formerly a TV news and current affairs reporter, producer and presenter, who has worked at all five mainstream networks. With a long involvement in health and medical issues, including two healthcare books and two years working as medical reporter for the Ten network, she combines awareness, passion and insight with the communications expertise gleaned from 25 years in television, both in front of and behind the camera. Her partner, Tristan Parry, is Creative Director and co-producer.
Recent International awards include international Silver and Bronze medals for Facing Ovarian Cancer, Bronze medal for Sticks & Sharps, an amazing five medals for the hand hygience DVD, Hands First, three medals for Fighting meningococcal disease, a Bronze medal for Breastfeeding Twins and a Silver WorldMedal for Celebrating Julienne (TV documentary on breast cancer), which also won the Victorian Cancer Council Daffodil Day award.
